Tipper when you talked about a wasper, it reminded me when it wastime for my daughter to take a nap, we would just always say, It's time for your N A P nap. She always believed that's how it was said, until she was old enough to have a little friend spend the night once. She told the little girl, she just didn't say it right. Long story short, she figured out that was just how we said it. She didn't like that she had hadn't been taught right😢. But strange at the memories that will stick with even small kids i guess

Another one my Daddy used to say - when we would be talking and say “if” he would say “if a hoppy toad had wings he wouldn’t bump his fanny”. He’s been gone 37 years and I can still hear him saying these things.

What a family!! You love the Lord, teach His ways, take care of your family, love one another, teach, can, sing, play music and on and on!! May I come live with you?? I'm 69, don't take up much room and love the Lord too! My twins (boy and girl) are 37 and I'm very proud of them.

LUNCH-vs-DINNER We were raised that the difference was… LUNCH- A cold meal. Such as a sandwich, salad, even a hotdog or hamburger was a lunch. DINNER- Was a proper hot meal. Meat, potato, & veg, with some type of hot bread (biscuit, dinner roll, or cornbread). Yes, I’m older & ever chance I got I was with my grandparents as a child. My parents were gracious enough to allow me to go as much as possible. So, I remember a lot of the old ways of the day back then. They NEVER had “light bread” (store bought) bread in their home. So we ate what I considered proper when I was little.

On a recent video I watched, you made okree that had 2 different kinds, one that I'm used to just green, but the other looked maybe a purple color, I don't remember the name you called it. But they looked good together. The big thing I noticed though was how yours looks almost just like my mom's used to. I've not seen, OR TASTED😢, any like hers since she had to give up cooking probably very shortly after early 2000's. She passed in 2014, but stayed in a nursing home for a long time before 14. All of that just to ask, did you put any flour in your corn meal? Me and my brother talked about this just a few hours ago, and we don't know for sure how mom did it. I did like your tip about putting the pan in the oven. I guess I'll send this video to my brother though👍 THANKS and GOD BLESS

Tipper, it’s 1:30 am my time. I just finished all of the birthday decorations and making cupcakes for our sweet daughter, who turns nine tomorrow. Your videos were such a wonderful and comforting background, while I buzzed around the house with the fun preparations. 🎉❤ I wanted to tell you that our daughter loves your channel and your cookbook and asked for your chocolate gravy recipe for her birthday breakfast. 😊 you personally signed her cookbook last year, and when I asked her what she wanted for her special breakfast, she said she wanted chocolate gravy, “the one in Tipper’s cookbook!” 🥰🤍

Back in the day working in a produce department, we had a horrible problem with gnats especially around the tomatoes. We would get peppermint oil and dilute in a spray bottle and spray all around since we couldn't use any kind of bug spray around fresh produce and was safe to use. I recently just read an article that you can use this in your garden and that it works great. Just an idea I thought to pass along. Love the content you bring to us!

When I was growing up, in the 50’s, not far from where you are, life was so simple, peaceful, and safe. So glad I got to experience it, especially in the south!!!

Chiggers,they love me,I use Off and wear boots that seems to help,there used to be some thing sold by Avon called skin so soft,used to work great.I dont think its even sold any more.I love Ingles,one of my favorite stores.They had your favorite popcycles on sale,I got the peach,really good.I remembered what Matt said about the coconut.I heard the old saying that wait is what broke the camels back.

Tipper, you will LOVE driving that tractor around, trust me! Years ago, we had some property and had to get a tractor. I was so scared to learn to drive that thing, but my husband insisted that I learn, and he was a great teacher, and it was very hard to get me off that thing once I learned how to use it. Made my life so much easier! You'll have a great time once you get used to it. :)

I hate chiggers!! They love white or yellow or light colored clothes! One thing that works for me is put peppermint essential oil in some water, in a spray bottle, and shake it up really good, then mist myself with it, they stay away from me and I smell like peppermint 😂 I don't say "thank you" for flowers, they will die but I do say "I appreciate them". lol, also, my parents and grandparents always said, "If you lay down with the dogs, you'll get up with the fleas!"

My birthday was Sunday (Father's Day June 16th.) In the South another name for chiggers is red bugs.

When I was little they would dust my pants with yellow sulphur to keep ticks and chiggers away

My momma always used bleach on an old wash rag to doctor my chiggers. My worst place to get them was picking wild blackberries. Daddy would look out for a blackberry patch where the cattle grazed and you could get to the berries easier and could see any snake that were there.

You and me are exactly the same with the beach!! I love it! I love to sit on the beach ,playing the water about up to my thighs and the most and occasionally an adult beverage , then in the evening go out to eat seafood! I love museum or forts like Pulaski Fort in Savannah that is close to the beach but mostly just the beach!

My husband built a chicken tractor, a mobile chicken coop, we haven’t got the chickens in it yet but they will be able to get bugs, and grass and worms without us bringing them to them! I have had chiggers but not in a long time! Clear polish does work! I canned rattle snake beans today! And pickles soon! I love this time of the year!

My father had the ability to remove warts. He would rub his finger over the wart and silently say words. It worked every time.

I have Syringomyelia- a spinal cord disease . Thank GOD I’m still able to walk , drive , take care of myself , although the disease is progressing . Second to that I have Arnold Chiari Malformation- a brain stem disease. I had brain decompression surgery in 2014. No matter what I say GOD is just so good!

Hello from QLD Australia! I found you not long ago and love to watch I like to watch Christian channels mainly. I am a born again Baptist and our founding Pastor who came from Texas and started our church in 1974 went onto to Glory last week and we buried him yesterday. Will miss him Some words of wisdom from our now( for the last 20 years) Pastors wife is , more is caught than taught! So true with children. You can’t say one thing and teach another. So true.
